Turbodan is easily recognizable in the company’s familiar yellow-green colors. It is possible for customers to choose other colors to a certain extent.
Turbodan builds mobile dryers on trailer chassis. This provides a very high level of flexibility as mobility is high. Turbodan is equipped with a tractor-driven generator and can be used anywhere as long as a tractor with PTO is attached. This is also possible if you want to connect the boiler and mixing system to the electricity grid. Can be an advantage when drying light crops where a lower airflow through the crop is desired.
Turbodan acquired the rights to and production of the vehicles back in 1998. Prior to 1998,
the vehicles were known as Farrell and were originally manufactured in Ireland.
This product is high-end in terms of quality and is intended for professional farmers as well as
feed manufacturers, or for cooperative use. Therefore, you may have some questions before deciding to make the investment.
Part of the package when first-time buyers take delivery of their new dryer is a personalized cart start-up. This means that we from Turbodan will come to your home and help you with a thorough review of the dryer. We explain the process and go through the most common errors and downtime. It is an advantage to have some crop that we can dry while we go through. Then, of course, there is telephone support and follow-up via email, for example.
Yes and no. The product must be homogeneous and stirrable with the auger system. The auger system ensures that the product is dried evenly and that there are no "wet pockets" in a portion.
In principle, it is possible to dry items with 40-50% moisture, but obviously the wetter the item, the longer it takes to dry it completely.
The capacity is up to 300 tons/day for grain to be dried from 20% moisture to 15% moisture.
It is possible to increase capacity by omitting cooling in the trolley. In some locations, it is possible to tip hot grain into a storage and immediately start cooling / aeration. This can increase drying capacity by up to 30-40%
We cannot recommend it as the system is heavy and long. Best utilization is achieved by creating a solid floor area where loading - drying - unloading can take place in a concentrated workflow. The trolley should be seen as a work tool rather than an extra trolley.
